Sudoku is a number puzzle on a 9x9 grid that needs logic, not math. Each row, column and 3x3 box must contain the digits 1 to 9 exactly once, and the numbers already filled in give you enough clues to work out the rest. Puzzles reward patience and a methodical approach over guessing, and there are multiple difficulty levels to grow into.
Select an empty cell and choose a number from 1 to 9. A number cannot repeat in the same row, column or 3x3 box. Use the given numbers to work out which digits fit each empty cell, and keep going until the grid is full.
Mouse or Touch: select a cell, then choose a number.
Fill the grid so every row, column and 3x3 box contains the digits 1 to 9 once each.
Start with the rows, columns or boxes that already have the most numbers, because they have the fewest possibilities. Look for cells where only one digit fits. When you are stuck, list the possible digits for a cell and cross them off as you learn more. Avoid guessing, since one wrong number can ruin the rest of the grid.
